In the Valley of Elah
The best film I have seen for some time.
Rather long time actually, although I watch a movie nearly every day for the last twenty years. It’s not that I don’t like Transformers, Iron Man or Gladiator because I do. It’s a good piece of characteristical contemporary popular culture stuff that I appreciate for few—but strong—particular reasons.
So, I believe this is a good sign for the future that the world is finally able to speak about war without falling into heroic kitsch.
Because the time of heroes ended in 480 B.C.
